HID Global’s EDGE EVO Solo ESH400 Hi-O Controller is a cost-effective, stand-alone IP-enabled biometric access control solution that is designed for sites with one or two doors utilizing Hi-O technology in an outdoor or outdoor/indoor environment. Distributing intelligence right to the door, the solution provides the ability to power all devices around a door using Power over Ethernet (PoE), significantly reducing total door installation costs by eliminating the need to install a separate power supply. HID ESH400 also utilizes less expensive CAT5 wiring compared to traditional structured cable.
The HID ESH400 is a single-door controller with Hi-O interface to Hi-O door components and readers. CAT-5 cable is routed to the HID ESH400 which is designed to be located near the door in a secure area, and all door components are wired using the four-wire Hi-O bus around the door.
The HID ESH400 is an ideal solution for securing a single door that has only Hi-O door and reader components (such as Hi-O REX, Hi-O DPS, Hi-O Lock and Hi-O iCLASS Reader). The HID ESH400 is mounted indoors and designed to work with Hi-O an iCLASS reader that can be located outside or indoors.
