Cybernetics Software deployed a biometric access control system integrated with solenoid-operated flap barriers at Race Course locations in both Pune and Mumbai (2013). HID V1000 and V100 controllers manage the flap barrier solenoid: when an authorised card is presented, the flap door opens automatically. All location data is centralised at the head office.
How does access control integrate with a flap barrier?
The HID access control panel (V1000 and V100) controls the solenoid connected to the flap barrier mechanism. When a valid card is read, the access control system sends a signal to the solenoid, which opens the flap panels to allow passage. Unauthorised cards are rejected and the flap remains closed.
